Pack Groceries for Delivery

Not everyone who needs groceries is able to make it to our Food Pantry. For neighbors facing mobility challenges, lack of transportation, or other barriers, WayForward volunteer drivers bring groceries directly to their door. But before those deliveries can happen, someone has to pack them – and that’s where you come in. 

Join us every other week on Tuesday afternoons from 2:30pm to 4:00pm to shop the pantry and pack an assortment of refrigerated, frozen, and shelf stable items into grocery bags and then stage the orders for next day pick up by volunteer drivers.

No experience is necessary. Training and on-going support will be provided by staff and experienced volunteers. Occasional Friday afternoon shifts are also available. The ideal volunteer will be available on a regular basis with the understanding that a volunteer may need flexibility for vacation, sickness, appointments, etc.
